The Hollywood Film industry and Big Bear Lake have a long history that began in 1911, and continues to this day.   Back in 1962, Elvis Presley was in Big Bear Lake making a movie called “Kissin’ Cousins”.  In this video, Noel Blanc and Kim Sweet help us tell the story of what happened when Elvis made a surprise visit to the Blanc family vacation home, and of the afternoon they spent on the lake.

The images for this video were provided by the recently published “Vanishing Big Bear-2”, and from the historical collections of Rick Keppler, and Mark Durban. “Vanishing Big Bear-2” is a hardbound 8.5” x 11” book. It is available online at FascinatingBigBear.com and at Amazon.com.
